SimpleAssist QuickShield Tip: "Disable Developer Mode Extensions" popup in Chrome Browser
Is #Chrome popping up and asking you to disable developer mode #extensions? I've noticed this happening as a result of a pesky little piece of #malware which has been popping up lately, and is even slipping by the malware scanners (in at least two of my experiences).
1A: Disguised as a legitimate extension
This is a persistent bugger... under SETTINGS, EXTENSIONS in Chrome, you'll find the this extension typically disguised as a coupon "helper" or shopping toolbar (SEE Image 1A, above). It is uniquely defined by its inability to be deleted (after deleting, it pops back up when after starting Chrome), in addition to the "Disable Developer Mode Extensions?" popup upon starting Chrome.
